Not long left!!!!

Anyone ready???

I love Christmas shopping - I'm not the sort to trawl round the shops not knowing what to buy people - I'm an online shopper; for instance, I love Amazon, I love the completely random recommendations which arise from my whole family only using one Amazon account - I have to admit I nearly always buy one of them.

Asos is my other downfall - I logged on today to buy my Son a t-shirt and accidently bought myself a new dress for New Years Eve (that I definitely don't need) and another pair of boots (that I absolutely don't need)

I will go into town Christmas Eve - I love the feel of the place, the fact ITS nearly here, but I will be the one sat in the pub watching everyone else flapping.  At that point I'll probably remember the person I've forgotten and purchase a bottle of something from behind the bar :-)

Have fun
Samantha

The Balm

After a mad few weeks on the run up to Easter - its about time I blogged again!

Having read The Gloss Goss blog today about The Balm; I was really sad to hear that Harvey Nicks had stopped selling the range.  Everyone at the Balm HQ (especially Olwen) are brilliant - their customer services is second to none and I sell more the Balm blushers than MAC - especially in Bahama Mama - I can't get enough of them.

So I, for one,  will be continuing to support the brand and hope my customers do too.

Valentines Day

I had a really funny email today, from a worried bloke.

I was changing the homepage of the Malkins website and added a little statement under my Valentines Day pressie ideas.  All it said was "never, ever buy her kitchenware for Valentine's" It seems some men have and now they are worried!!!

My reasoning behind putting that on the website, is that years ago my friend Jen was given a "lovely" pan set by her Husband for Valentine's Day she didn't say a word, got in her car and came round to mine...where she stayed for the rest of the day. Her Husband just couldn't see the problem, in fact to this day he still thinks that it was a really thoughtful gift - I mean who wouldn't want a pan set??

Off to the Sales??

I haven't braved the sales yet, but drove through town on Tuesday and all the car parks seemed full, my Son said that Birmingham was packed - although he managed to buy something that wasn't even in the sale - typical man.

The online shop has been really busy this week too - which surprised me somewhat as I thought we would have a real lull in January/February until the blokes decide they had better buy something for Valentines Day!! Maybe everyone is bored and decided to surf the net as the weather has been pretty wet over the holidays.

Well have fun on New Years Eve if you decide to go out xxx

I think I am ready for Christmas

Well I say that, nothing is wrapped yet and I still have to go to the Post Office (again).  We went shopping yesterday and spent an unreal amount of money on food, we really shouldn't be allowed into the wholesalers before we have eaten!!

Malkins web shop is going really well and yesterday was the first day I had to go and do anything.  The jewellery has really taken off.  The majority of it is designed by Banyans in Devon, they are a Husband and Wife team and the designs are fantastic - take a look on the shop jewellery section here.

Well, off to wrap some presents and do some more work,

Have a wonderful Christmas

No time for Christmas...

Its so busy this week at Malkins that I don't have time to do anything about Christmas at home.  So far my only shopping trip culminated in my only buying things for myself!! So next week I am determined to get it all done in one day, wrapped and sent in the post.

Our local postman must groan when he sees me walk in with piles and piles of boxes - at least I am keeping him busy!!

Our MAC Makeup is going well this week - everyone must be glamming up for their Christmas parties, the really bright shades seem to be selling well, bright blues and greens seem to be in favour.

Well Happy Shopping - I am off to the Post Office again :-)
